Can you hear it yet?
Are you still just sitting there not using this language?
Here's another thing you can do with what you know: Ask about buying
something. If you don't have a low-cost phone (like Skype) ask through
e-mail. Call or e-mail a pizza store in the US. Say "How much is a large pizza with
pepperoni?" Because they want to sell you something,
they will listen very carefully to understand you. Also, they
will try very hard to make themselves understandable. They won't make
you red-faced. They want your money. Perhaps if you are successful in your talk, they
will ask you where to bring it. Then you can say Budapest
or Seoul or Buenos Aires or wherever you are. Have fun!
Present Simple Tense of the Verb
Some people think "Why not give Present Simple first? It's just one word! Like,
I walk is not hard to say." We waited until
now to give you Present Simple because Present Simple is not so
simple. It changes with the third person. And most of the time, it needs
other words to help its meaning.
First of all just think: Which of these says what you are doing right
now?
1. I study.
2. I am studying.
Why did you choose number 2? Because number 1 - I study -
means you do it generally but you are NOT doing it at this moment.
Now watch this:
I work a lot.
You work a lot.
S/He works a lot.
We work a lot.
You work a lot.
They work a lot.
Of course you saw that the third person (he, she, it)
adds an "s". But another thing you will notice is that
the Present Simple verb usually has to add other words to make a meaning.
I work a lot.
She works at the store.
They work on Sundays.
And now we can look at negative sentences.

Present Simple:
it is the name of a tense, used for speaking about usual things happening in the
present (Up)
