Its and It's - You can look better than an English speaker!

One little apostrophe (') makes a big difference.

it is = it's
Possessive pronoun of "it" = its

Many English speakers incorrectly use ITS for IT'S, and also IT'S for ITS  Strangely, they are often incorrect both ways! When it is a possessive pronoun, they often use IT'S because noun possessives are made that way. When it is a contraction, they forget to put in the apostrophe (').  So if you learn this difference very well two good things happen:
1. You look like you know something.
2. You do not follow their example without thinking.
