Like the verbs "am" and "have got", the word "can" is important. It means that you (or we or it) are "able" to do some other action. Perhaps the best thing about "can" is that you just add it to any verb:

I can walk.
You can walk.
S/He can walk.
We can walk.
You can walk.
They can walk.

Another way of looking at it: The octopus says this is CAN + V.  Look and see.
Also:
(Remember: CAN'T means CANNOT.)
I can't walk.   
You can't walk.
S/He can't walk.
We can't walk.
You can't walk.
They can't walk.

Now you are ready to change the order of can very simply, to make questions
